Significant infrastructure improvements included the installation of electricity, lighting, and a water pump system that greatly enhanced garden operations, while planning advanced for accessible pathways and future educational features. As the garden looks ahead, its focus remains on expanding partnerships, increasing accessibility, strengthening volunteer engagement, and creating new opportunities for learning and community involvement for years to come.

2023–2024: Expanding Programs and Community Connections

Year two marked a period of significant expansion for the Archbold Community Garden. Programming increased to 14 unique educational opportunities, adult participation nearly doubled, and the garden introduced its mentor-led community gardening initiative while continuing to grow and donate fresh produce. Highlights included the installation of fencing, composting facilities, a pollinator plot, and the launch of the first-ever Blossom Bash, which welcomed more than 150 community members for a day of celebration and connection. With new partnerships, expanded educational offerings, and continued infrastructure improvements, the garden strengthened its role as a vibrant gathering place and learning destination for the community.

2022–2023: Our First Year of Growth

The Archbold Community Garden's inaugural year laid a strong foundation for community engagement, sustainability, and beauty. Through nine educational programs, more than 220 youth and adult participants connected with gardening, healthy living, and one another while over 600 units of produce were donated to local organizations. Major milestones included the installation of garden beds, a storage shed, composting systems, water collection infrastructure, fruit trees, and a community produce stand. Most importantly, the garden became a place where neighbors gathered, learned, and built community together, setting the stage for even greater growth in the years ahead.
